Arnett’s paintings have been seen in over a hundred exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe. She has served as faculty at Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as State Director of Very Special Arts for the Michigan Department of Education, as Superintendent of a school for at-risk students and as Executive Director of Touchstone Center for Crafts in southwestern Pennsylvania. She also served in the position of Acting Dean of the College of Fine Arts at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and taught drawing and painting workshops at The Academy of Art in Zagreb, Croatia. Arnett was also selected for painting residencies in the south of France and in Portugal as well as awarded a year residency in a small town in the Abruzzi Mountains in Italy. While in Italy, she lived and painted in the mountain village while exhibiting her work throughout the Abruzzi region. Recently she was selected as one of the artists for the book “In the Making: 250 years/250 Artists” in celebration of the arts in Pennsylvania. Marjorie is also a published playwright and poet and now lives and works in Maine.
